In recent times a dark, evil force has swept over Northern Nevada and the Eastern Sierra's, the dark force of boring and uninspired geocaches. The people of this area had wept and begged for someone to save them from this dark gloom that was cast over the land. Many had tried, only to fail. Then one day a light began to shine from the heart of this land, the people began to see hope for geocaching, and left their homes for the first time in months to seek this light. The light that started to restore the faith for the people was none other than that of the Dirtbag Geocaching Society. The DGS in the lands of the East had heard tales of the dark times in the lands of Nevada, and decided to establish an outpost to give people the hope that they deserved. The select few that have taken on this noble task have been called The Battle Born Dirtbag Geocaching Society. The Battle Born DGS is a small, but mighty power in these lands of Nevada and Sierras, but it's power continues to grow. These fierce soldiers continue to fight the good fight so that the people of these areas may have challenging and creative geocaches to find once again. It was a daunting task, and the time had come to seek new warriors for their cause. Many had spoke of a single geocacher that was fabled to be the best in all the land. He was known by many names, "The Diz", "Dizzy", "The Blocked One", "Diz-Slapped", and just "DizFiz". But the DGS had only one name for him, "Dirty Diz". It was told that Dirty Diz had learned to harness the power of "Big Blue", and was able to use this power to create a powerful invisible shield that could block the dark powers that had taken over the area. The DGS sought out Diz for his powers (it wasn't difficult, he broadcast his location and adventures every 15 minutes) to ask him to join their Dirtbag Army. Diz agreed to join the powers of the Battle Born DGS, and use his powers to join the fight against the dark forces. The cache series you see now in this series are a result of this union of power between The Battle Born DGS and DizFiz. The caches serve as force field generators and are powered by the main generator deep below Lake Tahoe. The forcefield has been installed to keep out darkness of boring caches and those who seek to place them. This forcefield border also serves as a warning to all who enter the territory of the DGS, be prepared to encounter geocaches as you have never seen, in locations you would never dare enter before. When geocaching in DGS territory you will need to bring an arsenal of tools and equipment to complete many caches. The DGS has attacked the dark forces from land, water, and even air and you will need to be a master in these areas to find what you seek. If you think you are worthy of entering DGS territory and passing through the forcefield, we welcome you. If not, you have been warned...
