Geocache Description:

Reasonable hike from parking area - approximately .25 mile. You are searching for large ammo can.

Although gate may be open to drive back to ballfields, you should walk from parking coordinates given.  As you start up the hill, turn left at the first gate.  Step around the gate and follow the yellow blazes back to the pond on the left (note: there is a dirt road up a steep incline to the left of this gate, but that goes to a gas well).

Agan Park is now home to the local pony league and a portion of the Rachel Carson trail, this hike being one segment. Park is open dawn until dusk.

My brothers and I used to hike back to this pond and fish for carp, catfish, and blue gill.  The water has dropped quite a bit since those days and now it appears to be home to a school of goldfish.  At first I thought it was one big coi or goldfish but as I got closer, realized there were quite a few individuals moving as one. 11/21/15 I think the goldfish have since disappeared.

There are a few other caches in this park that bring you out near the cliffs and some nice views over the river near them. Bring a camera if you plan on doing the other caches. Please use caution and wear orange during hunting season. Ticks can be bad in Spring and Fall if you are bringing your geodog along.
