From parking to cache is 6/10 of a mile - straight in - if you follow the road - it will take you to within a few feet of the cache, but it is considerable longer of a hike. The placement is not for young children, as there is the risk of falling.
When our son was 12-13, they decided to go to the top of this mountain, so they went up the side you are looking over. There was no road to follow - after reaching the top - they found a less treacherous way back down. Ahhhh - memories!

You are in a forested area - bear, moose, cougar etc (rabbbits, turkey, grouse, chipmunks) have been seen. Go prepared.
