This cache is located on the walking trails around the heritage farm field. Cache is only two steps off the trail, no need to bushwack.
I have included a bit of history on the farm field. William and Elizabeth Rath homesteaded on this land in 1886. They built a log cabin, cleared the land and in 1895 built the barn. In 1903 when William died, Elizabeth continued to run the farm with her five children and eventually operated it as a campground. The suffix ‘trevor’ was added to give the campground a more lyrical name. Rathtrevor Campground became Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park in 1967.
