An event with a guest of honor! The Corps of Discovery cache (GC8e37) is visiting Oregon and has decided to drop in on the Salem area geocachers.
With summer drawing to an end, it's time for one more event. This is a simple Picnic, with a twist. We have a guest of honor! Let's show this cache how Salem geocachers party!
Picture time with the cache will be provided. Large group picture to be taken. Guarantees of lots of story telling, and you might even be able to find someone to give you a hint on a trouble cache. Feel free to bring coins for discovery.
Bring your own Picnic food, chairs and such. This event will be at Riverfront Park with a contiguency plan in case of showers. Please watchlist this for possible changes as the event draws closer. The park has several caches, but geocaching is optional! (AS IF I can stop you!)
We will begin at 6pm and the event will officially be over at 7:30. Picture and drawing to be held at 6:45.
