Part of the Haggis Highway trail and part of a series of events as shown below, please do not look for or log this cache before Friday 5th October. Thank you and happy caching from the Highland Haggi team.
To celebrate the creation of this section of the Haggis Highway events will take place on 5th, 6th and 7th October 2012. The events are as follows: Wick ~ Bar Blether GC3PQ71 - Friday 5th October from 19:00 Wick ~ Dinner GC3PQ89 - Saturday 6th October from 17:00 Dunbeath ~ Lunch GC3PQ8R - Sunday 7th October 10:00~12:00 Thurso Harbour has been a trading town since the 14th century. It was built in 1891 and was once a hive of activity but began to decline in the early 1960's. At one time there were 4 Flagstone works operating around the harbour. Heaps of flagstone chippings can still be seen. This cache has overlooks Thurso Harbour between Holburn Head and Dunnet Head. The cache is a small bucket box witha FTF card, logbook and room for swaps. You will need a writing tool!
