Fireflies Traditional Cache

5Meerkats: I have contemplated the future of this cache several times; after it being fully submerged in two separate flood events, after the neighbors attempting to scare away cachers with firecrackers, after reports of snakes at GZ. But, finding out that people have p#ssed in the container pushes me over the edge. Cache has been removed.

I hope to place another Fireflies cache soon in a different area. An area that I have also seen their amazing beauty. I hope people have better luck in that location!

Geocache Description:

An easy find, placed to coincide with a wonderful annual event.

I remember my father taking us kids down here to see the fireflies. Some nights they were all around you, other nights you just saw a few. You never could predict how many might be out. This area now has urban encroachment, but Wolsten Creek is still in good nick with heaps of leaf litter; which the fireflies love. So bring the kids down at dusk. Anytime between now (Sept) and early Nov should be ok. Turn off the torches and be patient.
