Frank C Prokop square is a memorial to PVT Frank C Prokop who fought and died on Nov 4 , 1918 in Romagne – Sous – Mont faucon France in WW1.
The memorial was erected in 1945 by the now defunct Glendale chapter of the Catholic War Veterans.
The memorial pillar was actually knocked over twice , once in August 2002 and the second time
in March 2007 . Both occurrences remain a mystery ( possibly struck by a truck ).
The cement on the triangle where the pillar is installed had become cracked in recent years and
in May of this year was completely resurfaced and restored .
