There is lane parking opposite the local pub, then you could enjoy watching a game of cricket for a little while before looking for the cache.
To find the cache you'll need to work up a sweat from the parking, but don't forget to stop and enjoy the view. There's a bench in a handy spot if you need it!
I hope the GPS fix works for you. I think its a pretty good fix, but the environment is challenging.
