Geocache Description:

My first time hiding a cache, one of three placed together at the Lake Iowa Park for my husband's 40th birthday surprise. Happy "over the hill" birthday, jkrueger72!

Welcome to our cache—

We first started caching when my husband, who’d known about the hobby for quite some time, bought a Smartphone with GPS capabilities and immediately downloaded the app. He quickly learned more about geocaching from one of his fellow Cub Scout leaders and soon we were all treasure-seeking. Our oldest, a scout, has yet to develop the same consistent interest in caching as his dad, but hopefully helping him create and place this cache as a surprise for his dad’s 40th birthday will fuel his caching interest a bit further.

Thanks for looking us up, and goodluck with our "CUB CAMP" cache.

"CUB CAMP" cache: This should be an fairly easy park and grab off the edge of gravel lot. Cache container is small and well hidden, but not camoflaged to its surroundings... you'll know it when you see it.  Container includes message about significance of cache, cache log, and pencil. Placed with permission.
