For Being FTF!!!
Welcome to
JUNGLE BOOK!
This is a challenge cache.
The cache IS at the posted coordinates. Coordinates for parking and the trail-head are in the waypoints. I gathered ideas for this challenge from several different Animal Crackers type challenges. The requirements are more lenient than most I read up on. Thanks to the owners of these caches for the use of their ideas.
REQUIREMENTS
**SOME EDITS HAVE BEEN MADE TO ADDRESS SOME MISCONCEPTIONS WITH THE REQUIREMENTS. THEY ARE MARKED WITH ** BELOW.
* To level the field, only caches found after 9/1/11 will count. I found my first cache on 9/4/11, so the date is meaningful to me.
* The placement date of the cache doesn't matter, only the date you find it.
* Any ANIMAL type critter will be satisfactory; real, mythical, imagined, birds, fish, amphibians, reptiles, insects, etc. **People, etc. (real, fictional, or imagined) are not allowed.
We're having fun with critters, remember?
* You must list all 26 animals in alphabetical order, with GC codes and date found when you log your find on this cache. **IE: A- Alligator, B- Beaver, C- Cat, D- Dog, E- Elephant, F- Fox, G- Goat, H- Horse, and so on.
* The title of the cache doesn’t have to begin with the animal, it just has to be somewhere in the title.
* You may also use part of a name ** If necessary, the required animal may be extracted from another word in the cache title. IE: ox in oxbow, dog in dogwood, otter in lottery.
* It doesn’t matter where in the WORLD any of the caches were found, or in which order.
* You may not use the same cache twice (ex. Dog chases cat, cat chases mouse or catbird), you must only pick one of the animals to use.
* If you're doing the Color of Cache Challenge (GC3VMC9) too, a cache that has both a color and an animal name (ex. Bluebird) may be used for both challenges.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Please add your list to a log, in a bookmark list, screenshot or in some manner that can be checked for verification. You may also want to include more than one entry for any letter you feel may be questionable. If possible, add a brief explanation to any cache critter you feel may need it.
** "Read the next part carefully. It is how one of the challenges I borrowed the idea from suggests to find the qualifying caches."
If you are not sure if what you have found is an animal, wikianswers (visit link) is a good place to look. It works best to start the sentence with "What are some animals that begin with the letter (whichever letter you're looking for)?"
** And finally, as of the date of these edits (4/1/2013), the previous find logs are accepted. From this date forward, the qualifying animal cache titles will be expected to adhere to the clarifications. Thanks for everyone's compliance. It is greatly appreciated and please feel free to contact me with questions on your list.
Once you complete your list of animal caches, you may go for the final. Please do not log a find for this cache until you have your list finalized.
Be sure to BYOP, logs not signed in the physical cache because there wasn't anything to write with won't be allowed and you wouldn't want to hike back to your vehicle for one.
The cache has been given this difficulty/terrain rating because it's unknown which caches you may be using for qualification. There may be lots of driving, walking, researching and other variables involved in finding the caches needed.

Good luck and most of all...HAVE FUN!
