A small edible lizardfish (Harpodon nehereus) of Asia, having a thin, nearly transparent body.
A teleost fish, Harpodon nehereus, that resembles and is related to the lizard fishes: family Harpodontidae. It is eaten dried with curry dishes as a savoury Also called bummalo. Once dried, it is transported in airtight containers as the odor is very strong.
