KCC Tellytubbies Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Workyticket: As there appears to have been no response from the CO we are archiving this cache listing to prevent it from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements in the area. Once a cache is archived for non-responsiveness (including the cache page) it can't be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

This is a large lock lock container in a Disco hide please take care when retreving and replacing this Cache and ensure that things are exactly as you found them.

KCC - Kids Cult Classics is our first attempt at setting caches it is currently a circular walk which can be done in any direction and by parking at either of the carparks stated. it should take between 1.5- 2.5hours all containers have pencils and logs in them and all except the bison tubes and 35mm containers are big enough for TBs and Coins, all are aimed for family finding all we ask is that if you take something please leave something of equal or greater value. there is a FTF envelope with a small prize located in an undisclosed Cache within the series There are no hint at time of publishing but there is a link/hint in the name of each of them that may take a little thinking about but will help you in finding the cache

The East Cramlington Nature Reserve

This area can be very muddy at times so wellies or walking boots are a must but it is a fairly level walk with no styles or steps

The site has free, open access throughout. No rights of way run through the site, but a series of Bridleways and paths criss-cross the site.

The National Grid has the right to bring vehicles onto the site when maintaining power cables.
In addition members of a local model airplane club have vehicular access (quite often on a sunday)

Within the south-east sector, a medium sized pond supports a wide range of invertebrates and amphibians including common frog, common toad, palmate newts and great crested newts.

The site is of value to a range of declining lowland farm birds including skylark, song thrush, linnet, grey partridge and yellow hammer.

The grassland is dominated by a range of species including common bent, soft brome, red fescue, Yorkshire fog and sweet vernal grass. Tufted hair grass is common in wetter areas.

Butterflies include small copper, orange tip, green-veined white, wall, large skipper and large white.

This series of caches have been set with the permission of Northumberland County Council Woodland Manager.
