Geocache Description:

This is a pretty little nature walk through a small area of lush forest and is conveniently inside the Mt. Shasta City limits.

The Elsa Rupp Nature Trail is a peaceful walk through forests and historic Strawberry Valley wetlands within a stone's throw of downtown Mt. Shasta City. Look for the parking area on the east side of Old Stage Road just north of the Sisson Hatchery & Museum. It is a very easy, relaxing trail. Big Springs creek flows through and is the primary water source for the nearby Sisson Hatchery.  Take notice of the wildlife as you walk.  Please be respectful and stay on the trail.  Deeper into this little park you will find where Big Springs creek has been diverted to send it to the hatchery across the road.  You are looking for a green matchstick container.
