This is a short walk off the Kent Des Moines Rd into a pretty cool little park that's infrequently maintained by the city.
Red Wolf in the Old Park is at my favorite park in town. This park is infrequently maintained and very few people know about that don't live right next to it, so hardly any muggles. This park looks like it'll just be woods, but once you are a few feet into it you'll see it's got a huge field and some trails. One of the trails leads up to the upper park which had a playground and is maintaned much better by the city.
It's best to park on Kent Des Moines Rd on the shoulder of the road just south of the church and near the fire hydrant and the parks enterance.
This park is dog friendly, however it's not wheel chair accessible.
**NOTE 5/22/13**
I talked to the city about the Homeless Camp and from what I can tell the city moved them out.
