A simple drive up the Garcia Park road collecting a few caches. Bring your own writing tool.
Garcia Park is one of my favorite places in the Taos area. In the fall when the aspen are turning the views are wonderful. Then the snow comes and it turns into a winter wonderland. The spring brings back the huge variety of wild life that calls these mountains home. Now we’d like to share this wonderful place with the geocachers of the world. Take your time enjoy the drive. Remember as you hunt for the caches in this series to keep your eyes open and you may be surprise at what you might see. I placed caches only in places I felt it was safe enough to park and allow another vehicle to pass.
I am going to assume that you will be starting at the bottom of the mountain and head up. With that assumption most of the caches will be on your right with a few exceptions and for those the hint will let you know to look on the left side. The caches are all preforms (soda bottles before they are expanded) with either a blue cap or a white cap usually covered with a rock. Please replace the cache as you find it so that others may enjoy the hunt.
The cache coordinates are the results of averaging at least 100 reading on a Delorme PN40. The weather was slightly overcast
