Welcome to the Banimboola Power Station at Lake Banimboola.
On our way to Dartmouth we stopped by here and were quite impressed with the power station and decided it was worthy of sharing.
A great area to stop, stretch the legs and have a look at the spillway from the viewing area.
Banimboola Hydroelectric Power Station:
Banimboola Power Station is a hydroelectric power station on the Dartmouth Regulating Dam known as Lake Banimboola which is located downstream of Dartmouth Dam on the Mitta Mitta River.
Banimboola has three generators, with a generating capacity of 12.2 MW of electricity.
The project will provide enough renewable energy to power 6,000 average Australian households. It is expected to save 35,244 tonnes per annum of greenhouse gas emissions, which is equivalent to removing 8,200 cars from the road. WOW.
The Cache:
You are searching for a 200ml Sistema which is located a short distance off the path.
Please be mindful of muggles at the viewing area whilst retrieving or replacing.
GOOD LUCK & HAPPY HUNTING.
