When I was knee high to a grasshopper I would spend hours out in this field with the family dog, the kittens and the cows. At the time the farm supported a heard of Jersey cows which my father and grandfather tended to. The barn stood at the North East corner of the propery but was destroyed in May 20,1996 by a small twister that came through this area and took out 2 barns and continued to Thorold where the drive- in movies lost one of it's screens. The movie playing at the time was Twister (No kidding) There are no cows on the propery any more and my family now rents it out to crop farmers.
