Each September, thousands of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts gather on the shores of the St. Clair River for a day of international friendship and activities. The highlight for most everyone is the S.W.A.P. exchanges where handmade trinkets, crafts and crests are shared with other girls from both sides of the border.
I was asked to run a geocaching activity for this year's event. When I realized that there weren’t any caches within walking distance of the main core of events on the Canadian side, I decided to hide one to show the girls a “real” cache. From GZ, you are in viewing distance of the ferry when it is operating.
