A Garay tér közepén a névadó Garay János szobra áll (Szárnovszky Ferenc alkotása, 1898-ban avatták fel), a költő Háry János alakját emelte az irodalomba, nem utolsó sorban többször megénekelte a szekszárdi bort.
A tér egyik meghatározó épülete a Német Színház (Garay tér 4.), ahol az ország egyetlen német nyelvű színháza működik, programjáról érdemes tájékozódni.
Nem csupán építészeti, de kultúrtörténeti emlék az Augusz-ház jellegzetes épülete (Széchenyi u. 36-40.), melyet báró Augusz Antal építtetett, s ahol Liszt Ferenc négy alkalommal járt. Emlékét az épület falán emléktábla és a benne működő, nevét viselő zeneiskola örökíti meg.

We can also reach Garay square with a few-minute walk. There stands the statue of Garay János (work of Szárnovszky János, dedicated in 1898). The poet raised the character of Háry János into literature and also wrote about the wine of Szekszárd.
One of the dominant buildings of the square is Hungary's only German-language theatre. It is worth collecting information about its program.
The characteristic building of Augusz House is not only a sight of architecture but of cultural history (Széchenyi u. 36-40). It was built by Count Augusz Antal and Liszt Ferenc visited it four times. Its memory is preserved with a memory tablet on the wall. Today it houses the music school, bearing his name. Probably preserving the memory of the master.
