RRPT - Big Log Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Champs2Monkeys: This cache has been a pain to maintain since it was first hidden.

We were alerted that the cache was removed, and in it's place was a note that stated:

"We took your thing... Hope you didn't need it :)"

Cache was replaced, but the log was removed by council. Cache was replaced, but a cyclone washed it away. Cache was replaced and it once again disappeared.

The longest survivor was a key hide in the shape of a rock, hidden in plain site.

Unfortunately, the last remaining log has been cleared from the site and the cache with it.

I can not expect MattCNS to continue to maintain this pain of a cache on our behalf so I will archive the cache to free up the spot. I hope someone (hinting at you MattCNS) will continue the Ross River Power Trail and fill the holes as our caches fade away.

Ross River Power Trail - Big Log

Townsville is blessed with a great river, and some fantastic cycling/walking trails that follow almost the entire length of the river.


What better way to encourage cachers to get out and explore these trails but to line them with caches to form Townsville's first Power Trail. Caches will be within 1 - 5 meters from the trail so they will be accessible to all including wheel bound (chair or pram).

Caches will be various types depending on the hide and will be between 161 and 200 meters apart.

There is a big log here where a large tree was knocked down during Yasi. Little Monkey tried to put the cahe in the hollow of the log but it wouldn't fit.

So Little Monkey had to settle for the Little Log

UPDATE: The Little log has been removed. Cache is now a Eclipse tin, next to he Big Log
