The two cottages at the cache are called Urheim and Friedensheim respectively. They were originally located on the dunes close to the beach and harbour. Friedensheim was originally owned by Frieda and Julia Heese and Urheim by Lily Klonus (nee Heese). They were daughters of Daniël Heese. Urheim and Friedensheim were built with wooden planks and corrugated iron on the sand. In the earlier years the houses were painted dark red with brown shutters and the tin roofs were unpainted. To make Friedensheim warmer, Julia Heese added cladding to the inside walls. A kitchen and bathroom were added to Friedensheim, and an outside bathroom and toilet were installed at Urheim. During the early years the residents took a bar of soap and a towel to the harbour or the river to bath, or they washed using a jug of water and a bowl in the bedroom. Brackish water was always available for general use and tankwater for drinking. The furnature was very basic. Wooden chests, used to transport goods from Germany to the missionaries, were used for the cupboards. There is still a cupboard in Urheim today that has Rev Klonus, care of Rev Brunne Bloemfontein written on the back. Empty paraffin cases were used for small chairs or cupboards. Some of the original chairs are still in use on the varandahs of Urheim and Friedensheim. In later years Rykie du Preez (nee Klonus) from Johannesburg spent Christmas holiday at Urheim and her sister Frieda Klonus in Friedensheim. The last time it was used was in 2003 for a holiday. In 2004 the land was sold and the two cottages were moved from the harbour area to the premises next to Jagersbosch Community Care Centre in 2005. The cache consists of a container with a logbook, pencil and sharpner.
