Podmaine

Na blagom uzvišenju iznad budvanskog polja, 2 km severno od starog grada nalazi se manastir Podostrog.
Ime je dobio po brdu Ostrog ispod kojeg je sagradjen. U literaturi se javlja i naziv Podmaine.
Maine je bio Manastir iznad ovog, ali je srusen u zemljotresu.
Tokom XVIII i XIX Veka je ovaj manastir uzrastao u jednog od najznačajnijih središta crnogorske istorije.
Nezna se pouzdano kada je počela dragnja. Iznad male crkve stoji tabla (slabo čitljiva) odakle se moze videti da je manastirska crkva podignuta na rusevinama nekog starijeg hrama i prvi put obnavljana 1630-te godine.
Iz istoriskoh zapisa je poznato da je 1835-te godine Petar II Petrovic Njegoš napisao „Slobodijada“ i delove „gorskog Vjenca“.
Posebnu draz manastira cini velika terasa sa pogledom na budvanski zaliv i ostrvo Sv. Nikola. Na zapadu terase nalazi se zvonik, i u neposrednoj blizini jedna manja bogato ukrasen bunar, sa dvoglavnom Orlom koji u kandjama drzi zmiju, grilatog lava i glave andjela sa krilima.

Der Cache befindet sich außerhalb des Klosters. Sie können ihn jederzeit besuchen. Direkt davor ist ein Parkplatz.
Die Lage ist zur Gottesdienst-Zeiten ziemlich von Einheimischen besucht.

Podmaine

Kloster Podmaine („Manastir Podmaine“) befindet sich an einem sanften Hügel über der Budva-ebene, 2 km südlich der Altstadt.
Das Kloster bekam sein Name nach dem Berg Ostrog über ihm. In der weiteren Literatur wird oft auch der Name Podmaine verwendet.
„Maine“ war ein Kloster über ihm, es wurde durch einen Erdbeben zerstört.
Im XVIII und XIX ist der „manastir ostrog“ zur einem der wichtigsten historischen Punkten Montenegros geworden.
Man kann nicht mit Sicherheit sagen wann der Baubeginn war, aber auf der Steintafel über der kleinen Kapelle, ist zu lesen dass die große Kloster-Kirche auf Resten einer früheren erbaut wurde und im Jahre 1630 das erste Mal erneuert wurde.
Aus den historischen Aufzeichnungen geht hervor dass „Peter Petrovic Negos“ (der bedeutendste Dichter Montenegros und der bedeutendste Dichter des serbischen Sprachraums)
im Jahre 1835 im Kloster einige Werke geschrieben hat.
Der besondere Charme des Klosters macht eine große Terrasse mit Blick auf die Bucht von Budva und die Insel St. Nikola aus. Dieser Ausblick wird aber leider immer mehr verbaut.

Auf der West-Terrasse ist ein Glockenturm. In der Nähe ein heiliger Brunnen mit zweiköpfigem Adler der eine Schlange hält, einem geflügelten Löwen und der Kopf eines Engels mit Flügeln verziert.

Podmaine

The monastery Ostrog ("Manastir Ostrog") is located on a small hill on the Budva plains, two kilometers south of the old city centre. The monastery got its name after the mountain Ostrog which looms behind it. Other sources also state the name "Podmaine", with "Maine" being the name of another monastery that was destroyed by an earthquake. In the eighteenth and nineteenth century, Manastir Ostrog has become one of the most important historical sites in Montenegro. It is not clear when construction started, but a stone tablet above the small chapel mentions that the monastery church was built atop the remains of an older church and was renotated in 1630 for the first time. Historical documents indicate that „Peter Petrovic Negos“ the most important poet of Montenegro or (even) the whole serbian language area, wrote a couple of his works here in 1835. Of particular interest is the big terrace of the monastery looking across the bay of Budva and the island St. Nikola. Unfortunately that view is becoming obstructed by constructions. On the west terrace is a bell tower and near that is a holy fountain depicting a two-headed eagle holding a snake, a winged lion, the head of an angel decorated with wings. .
