Each of the 33 caches is named for a Manitoba community. Most are traditional caches. Two are multi caches where the final is hanging in a shrub directly across the road from the given coordinates. (Read that last sentence again to be sure you understand.) Ten of the caches are puzzles. There are ditches to cross and they may occasionally be wet or snowy - dress accordingly. Above all, we encourage you to enjoy this beautiful area with its multitude of kettle lakes (prairie sloughs) and the critters that call them home.
The town of Killarney is not nearly as Irish as its name. The lake at the center of this agricultural prairie town was first named Killarney by a homesick Irish surveyor. The town was settled mainly by Scottish, English, Mennonite and Hutterite immigrants. It is the location of the oldest geocache in the province.
