Each of the 33 caches is named for a Manitoba community. Most are traditional caches. Two are multi caches where the final is hanging in a shrub directly across the road from the given coordinates. (Read that last sentence again to be sure you understand.) Ten of the caches are puzzles. There are ditches to cross and they may occasionally be wet or snowy - dress accordingly. Above all, we encourage you to enjoy this beautiful area with its multitude of kettle lakes (prairie sloughs) and the critters that call them home.
The town of Lac du Bonnet along the Winnipeg River is a one hour drive from the city of Winnipeg and has developed the infrastructure for outdoor recreation in all seasons. Besides swimming, boating and fishing on the river there are nature trails and a golf course for use in summer. In the colder weather snowmobiling and cross country ski trails are available.
