Each of the 33 caches is named for a Manitoba community. Most are traditional caches. Two are multi caches where the final is hanging in a shrub directly across the road from the given coordinates. (Read that last sentence again to be sure you understand.) Ten of the caches are puzzles. There are ditches to cross and they may occasionally be wet or snowy - dress accordingly. Above all, we encourage you to enjoy this beautiful area with its multitude of kettle lakes (prairie sloughs) and the critters that call them home.
Steinbach is the fastest growing city in Manitoba posting a population increase of 22% over the five years ending in 2011. While the city is a significant economic centre with some manufacturing as well as service and retail industries, it has done so without the presence of either a river or railway. Sometimes called the Automobile City, it became the home of one of the first Ford dealerships in 1914.
