Geocache Description:

The MB series is a collection of micros placed along several all-weather grid roads in the prairie east of Highway 10 and north of Brandon, Manitoba. All caches are beside roads - no fences to cross, no bushwhacking, no hiking. Bring your own pencil.

The cache is at N 50o  05.A'      W 099o 48.B'
where A is the greater of 584 and 485
and B is the lesser of 967 and 697.

Each of the 33 caches is named for a Manitoba community. Most are traditional caches. Two are multi caches where the final is hanging in a shrub directly across the road from the given coordinates. (Read that last sentence again to be sure you understand.) Ten of the caches are puzzles. There are ditches to cross and they may occasionally be wet or snowy - dress accordingly. Above all, we encourage you to enjoy this beautiful area with its multitude of kettle lakes (prairie sloughs) and the critters that call them home.

The city of Thompson was once a single industry nickel mining town that became the hub of Northern Manitoba for government and health services and for retail sales. Recent additions of cold weather testing facilities and the nearby Wuskwatim hydroelectric generating station have added stability to this city north of the 55th parallel.
