This cache will bring you to the entrance of Wonthaggi's State Coal Mine. This cache is available 24/7, the mine is open daily from 10 till 4. It is open 7 days a week you don't have to pay to get in only if you want to go on a underground tour. It offers you a journey back in time to discover what life working in a coal mine was like. If you dare you can venture underground in one of the mines and see how they hard they had to work to extract the black gold. Wonthaggi coal mine started at the town's birth in 1909 until 1968, when the mine closed. It is well worth a look around this Historical area.
