This cache will bring you to the Wonthaggi's State Coal Mine. This cache is only available during opening hours,which is daily from 10 till 4. It is open 7 days a week. Entry is free the only time you have to pay is if you want to go on a underground tour. The area offers you a journey back in time to discover what life working in a coal mine was like. If you dare you can venture underground in one of the mines and see how they hard they had to work to extract the black gold. Wonthaggi coal mine started at the town's birth in 1909 until 1968, when the mine closed. I think it is well worth taking some time to have a look around.If you like to have a BBQ there are some great facilities provided that are undercover.
The cache is a mints tin so you will need to BYO pen. This cache is the second last in the Rail trail series
