My Dog Smokey Traditional Cache
PNWgal: Going to be relocating too far to make it feasible to maintain this series so went around and pulled all the containers today - except for the final, which I will leave out for a couple more weeks. If anyone has been working on the final and needs just one or two more of the series caches, he/she can email me and I will provide the numbers so they can find the final before the end of September.

I have placed 10 caches along paths I like to walk with my dog. THIS WAS MEANT TO BE A WALKING SERIES! Walking the circuit would be a terrain of 3.5ish, but in reality you can get parking fairly close to all of them (to me that means within ¼ mile) and trails are mostly good/paved, so I’m downgrading the terrain and, sorry, you’re on your own for parking if you choose to drive. Please do NOT go at night so as to avoid disturbing nearby residents.
Smokey was a handsome German Shepherd and a K9 with a police department; my former husband was his handler. Part of the time the ex and I were together I was the sports editor for a local newspaper, which often meant late hours. One very late night after putting the sports "to bed" I let Smokey out of the office, locked it, turned and headed for the car at the same time I looked up to see a man of questionable intentions start my way. I'm sure Smokey saved me - if not my life, my honor - because he came around the car and headed for the guy and the guy stopped short. I always trust my dogs' instincts. The guy and I exchanged a few words and he assured me he would not move until Smokey and I were in the car and away and he didn't. Boy did Smokey get treats when we got home! Container used to hold dog treats - it is either an XXL micro or an XS small and is wrapped in black tape and is near a place I've played quite a few matches. There is NO parking at GZ. But, I did place three caches along this path to make the walking worthwhile. There is a challenge for anyone interested in finding all of my "My Dog..." caches (there are 10 of them). If you are interested in the challenge, please TAKE NOTE OF THE NUMBER IN THE CONTAINER LID!
