My Dog Ebony Traditional Cache
PNWgal: Going to be relocating too far to make it feasible to maintain this series so went around and pulled all the containers today, except for the final, which I will leave out for a couple more weeks. If anyone has been working on the final and needs just one or two more of the series caches, he/she can email me and I will provide the numbers so they can find the final before the end of September. (I actually couldn't CITO the container at this location, because I couldn't find it.)

I have placed 10 caches along paths I like to walk with my dog. THIS WAS MEANT TO BE A WALKING SERIES! Walking the circuit would be a terrain of 3.5ish, but in reality you can get parking fairly close to all of them (to me that means within 1/4 mile) and trails are mostly good/paved, so I'm downgrading the terrain and, sorry, your're on your own for parking if you choose to drive. Please do NOT go at night so as to avoid disturbing nearby residents.
Ebony was a lab - guess what color?!! He was taller and leaner than most labs so he might have been 90% lab and 10% something else, but his lineage was unknown as I rescued him as a stray. At the time Ebony came to live with us I had a Shetland pony named Poncho and Ebony would take Poncho's reins in his mouth and lead the pony around! UPDATED 1-19-13: One of the trees that was here when I originally placed the cache has come down and left a DEEP hole and cracked the original container. Container is now a camo-taped pill bottle; log only, BYOP. There is some off street parking very near, but it is a BUSY street and I would STRONGLY suggest you find parking down around the corner from My Dog Smokey and walk the path to get Smokey, Baby, and Ebony instead of parking nearer to Ebony. You can reach from the path side if you take a step off the path and stretch (watch out for the deep root hole!) or you can leave the paved path and travel a few feet around the back side to reach the cache - it's a pretty steep angle with ankle-grabbing ivy so take care! There is a challenge for anyone interested in finding all of my "My Dog..." caches (there are 10 of them). If you are interested in the challenge, please TAKE NOTE OF THE NUMBER IN THE CONTAINER LID!
