Geocache Description:

Another set of caches along the South County Trail.  Trying to continue on with H2"O"s great work on the North County Trail.
A nice walk on the paved trail a short distance from the parking area.  Bring your own pen.

The South County Trailway is a 14.1-mile (22.7 km) long trail stretching from Van Cortlandt Park in The Bronx to Elmsford in Westchester, NY. Construction started in the 1990s and was completed in 2011.  Most sections of the trailway are paved.  This was once the part of the New York Central Railroad system.

Poison Ivy is very common along this trail, but I did my best to avoid it.

The cache is a camoed bison tube hiding in plane sight.  You will not need venture too far from the path.
I was on my skateboard looking for caching spots when I was run off the trail by a large group of bicyclists.  Instead of getting angry, I placed a cache while sitting in the shade.

Parking is available at the posted coordinates.
