Murphy's Cache Traditional Cache

This intersection is known as Murphy's Corner. I've been told tho old dilapidated building was once a store. Had to have a cache here.
In the 1850's this early pioneer settlement was named after James and Pat Murphy. It began with a small Sawmill on the South West corner, owned by A. L. Purdy. Another Murphy brother, Martin, also lived here. Some articles I have read say that an old gas station, that was closed 30 years ago, still stands. Maybe the old building that is there today was the General Store and gas station. Four townships are said to intersect here, Lake, Wollaston, Limerick and Tudor & Cashell. Enjoy the history of these back roads and all the other caches that are located near here. I am glad to adopt this cache from partsman41.
