I feel this will be the most difficult to find along this route. A micro containing only a log book.
This is one of 8 hides I've made along my favorite back roads route between Moosomin and Wawota. All the roads are well graveled all season roads. However in wet weather or snow, drive according to conditions. If you end up on a dirt trail, you've made a wrong turn somewhere, but the placement of the hides should keep you on track. Ironically, both the first and the last hides are in or near the Little Pipestone Valley. I didn't clock the distance between the hiways but would estimate it at about 40 KM's. This hide brings you to the community of Kelso, a few homes and a booming Co-op! The Chruch, which was built on the second meridian a couple miles west of here, was moved to this location in 1909. Here it served the area as a place of worship and a social centre for community actitivies. A large rock cairn and vacant lot is all that remains here.
