Geocaching in and around the little village of Nothum might be very interesting and educational. Especially for those interested in historical matters in relation with World War 2. Heavy fights took place in this area (around Schuman) during december 44. Some nearby caches treat this issue and those of you who are interested should go for them!
This cache is an easy one, a warm up! ![](/images/icons/icon_smile_wink.gif)
WP 1
Start at the little chapel located amid the village.
Have a look at the iron gate and count the bars with pointed ends.
This gives you two digits you must summate to get a single digit called X
You need this X to complete the final coordinates
A 4 digit date is written above the gate of the chapel. Here is the format (abcd)
Subtract a from c to get Y
You need this Y to complete the coordinates of WP2
Now, summate the 4 digits (abcd). The result is a double digit number. Add 46 to this number and call the result VW
You need this VW to complete the coordinates of WP2
WP 2
N 49° 56,VW7'
E 5° 52,Y63'
Here, you'll have to count the seats in the "refuge"
The result is a single digit. Add 2 to this digit and call the result P
You need this P to complete the final coordinates
FINAL
N 49° 5P,810'
E 5°52,X49'
Good Luck!
