This cache has been archived.

castagnari: This cache has been disabled for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Welcome to the Wimborne Wizard Walk!

This is a Harry Potter themed series of 28 caches placed around Wimborne. The walk is approximately 11 miles long, starting by the Saxon church at Wimborne Minster. It passes through some lovely areas of countryside, as well as through the grounds of Kingston Lacy, the Iron Age hill fort of Badbury Rings and the 2 mile long avenue of beech trees approaching it.

It follows public footpaths and small roads which are all fairly well-maintained, but there are some stiles so it may not be suitable for the disabled. It is also worth noting that between 7 & 8 the paths passes through a cow field; the residents are rather friendly and may cluster by the gate as you open it, but they're quite docile and move away as soon as you get into the field.

The containers are mostly small plastic boxes of various shapes and shouldn’t be too difficult to find.

**NB The caches each have a theme of a different character or item from the Harry Potter series. While the containers can fit small trackables/items for swapping in them, please DO NOT REMOVE THE THEME ITEM.

We hope you enjoy it! This is our first series so any comments or suggestions are welcomed!

We would love if it you could take a picture of yourself with the graduation hat and house cup from the last cache for our wizards' graduation album!! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
