A gambol around Grittleton. Some are accessible to wheelchair users. There are a couple of stiles and footpaths across fields. Part of your gambol will take you along the Fosse Way, a Roman road which starts in Exeter and travels diagonally across England to Lincoln. The village is in Wiltshire in the area of South Cotswolds, an area of outstanding beauty. For further information on the area see related link, above.
If you've found The Whole Hog then you will have spotted the Chickens! Why didn't they cross the road?? They couldn't get out of the gate. Groan! 
You will have crossed the road...take care.
Depending on the time of year, the farmer will have a crop in the fields ahead of you. He kindly leaves the footpath across for walkers. If you are going to cross the field, please keep to the path and ensure that dogs and children do also.
