Geocache Description:

A gambol around Grittleton. Some are accessible to wheelchair users. There are a couple of stiles and footpaths across fields. Part of your gambol will take you along the Fosse Way, a Roman road which starts in Exeter and travels diagonally across England to Lincoln. The village is in Wiltshire in the area of South Cotswolds, an area of outstanding beauty. For further information on the area see related link, above.

Step it out now! Repent! Ok...stop now. No, really, stop. The area you are now on is part of the Fosse Way. This Roman road stretched from Exeter in the South to Lincoln in the North.  Once the equivalent of a motorway the Fosse Way is now attributed as a 'Byway open to all traffic'

In 1852 a leaden coffin, containing a skeleton and some Roman coins, was found in the nearby North Field. Further information can be found by following the related link, above.

The cache title? Mrs O being reminded of Fosse the dancer
