Geocache Description:

This part of a series of caches  that is dedicated to my other long term interest – BOWLING. I have been bowling since my youth. While I may not carry a very high average in the league I’m in, I have enjoyed spending all these years bowling with family & friends.

The history of bowling dates back to ancient Egypt and the Roman Empire. Bowling as we recognize it today was first established with standardized rules in New York City on September 9, 1895.  There are varying forms of bowling on a small scale and mostly in New England and Canada of ‘Nine-Pin’, ‘Candlepin’, ‘Duck-Pin’ & ‘Five-Pin’.

This is a series of caches where you will need to gather the clues in the 6 traditional caches to acquire the necessary info to solve this puzzle. I’ve used common terms from bowling for these caches.

Alley is a straight and narrow surface also called a lane.  It is 60’ long from the foul line to the headpin and 41.5” wide. Originally it was made out of wood and oiled frequently.  In more modern times it is sometimes made out of synthetic materials with polyurethane coating.

You are looking for a lock-n-lock container in Hoffman Park. Be advised, deer hunting is permitted in the fall so wear appropriate clothing. Be sure to gather the clue to solve the related puzzle cache
