Geocache Description:

This is the second stop on my Home Sweet Home series. This cache will have one half of the coordinates needed to reach the final. Make sure you write them down.  To complete the series you will have to find GC3RDTY for the  other half of the coordinates and use these to proceed to the final GC3V1RF.  This is also a stand alone cache, so make sure you log your find. Please bring your own pen or marker. A FTF trackable for the First To Find is taped to this cache

When I was 10 years old the worst thing happened to me.  We Moved.
Not only did we move to a new house and neighbourhood. We moved from a huge three story house to a rinky dink house.  I thought it was the most tragic thing.
Like all children though, I quickly adjusted and made new friends.
In fact my closest and dearest friend, who I  still spend time with on a regular basis is the little girl who lived across the street from me almost 40 years ago.  What makes this even more miraclulous is the fact I only lived on this street for 2 years.
Just goes to show that who is meant to be in your life will be in your life no matter what.

AS I'm creating this cache to publish, my children are watching tv behind me. My youngest says to her sister "speed that up" meaning fast forward through the commercials.  As I was thinking about life 40 years ago at that time, it struck me funny how much things have changed in such a small span of time.  When I lived in this house there was no such thing as a VCR, DVD or PVR.  We only had a handful of stations and our choice of shows to watch was limited to what the networks chose to show.  If you wanted to watch a show you had to make sure you were sitting in front of the tv at the moment it started, unlike today when you can watch any show you want at any time that is convenient to you. Those commercials we so easily fast forward through today, were our bathroom break and fridge raiding time. Remember those mad dashes to the washroom, so you wouldn't miss any of your favourite show. In those days we got exercise while watching tv. Now they can just stop the show at any point for this. Also channel surfing was to a minimum as we actually had to get up off the couch and walk over to the television to change the channel.   Makes you wonder what life will be like forty years from now, eh!
