*gln: ### ARCHIVING CACHE ###

Since you haven't repaired your cache I can only assume that your priorities have changed and you’ve gone in a different direction.

While I feel that we should hold the location for you we can't do so forever.
If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the VERY near future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Let me know if I can be of assistance in the future.

Thanks,

Geocache Description:

Lake Wahoo Waters is an old fishing lake now part of Smithville lake. Old timers tell of cabins and people travelling for miles to stay overnight and fish, but this is long gone.  The cache and arm of the lake are north from 92 Hwy on Mt. Olivet Rd.  Park in the gravel lot where Mt Olivet curves west and becomes 156th.

Lake Wahoo Waters is an old fishing lake that is now an arm of Smithville Lake. The lake still appears on topographical maps, but it is now just one of the arms of Smithville Lake extending into a hollow.  In order to find this cache, from the intersection of 92 Highway and 169 Highway head to the east.  North on Mount Olivet road until the road curves to the West to become 156th St. Park in the gravel lot that is owned by the City of Smithville. and look along the boundary of the undeveloped Clay County Park land that borders the lot.  The cache contains hot wheels cars, football cards, a sticky brain, and a number of other cool items included by Nathan. In the late fall, winter, and early spring, one can follow the trail head from this parking lot to the east and encounter an old bridge and an ancient house foundation. Continuing this trail brings you to the shore of Smithville Lake. Don't try this in late spring, summer, or early fall because of the weeds.
