River Usk- OAK Traditional Cache

smoggie: Walked down to change cache, you can now see a prime example of river erosion. Which makes the location unsafe. So its time to archive the cache. Thanks for those who have logged. A new cache close to the Oak will be placed soon. So the walk can be still enjoyed. Once it is safe to retrieve the cache, I will remove it. As you walk past at the moment, the cache is visible.

Geocache Description:

River Usk- OAK
Is one of a series of caches(to be completed) located along the side of the river, it`s aim is to get people out and enjoy the Welsh countryside linking the two main water features of Brecon the river and canal.

Cache is white container, located above the ground next to the river hidden as the name suggest`s(HINT will probale be needed). Access via the footpath along the north side of river which begins at the Usk bridge and finishes not far from Brynich Lock. With a return walk via the canal. On route listern to the running waters and then the noise of the A40. Look out for various wildlife and the occasional canoest.
Please be aware livestock is located in most of the fields along the river so all dogs need to on leads. Take care near cache site as althougth its above the river water is a hazard.
