Geocache Description:

This is my first puzzle cache hide! Explanation and puzzle instructions are below. Parking at listed coordinates. You may also want to figure out the puzzle at home first if you are not familiar with the tunes (Google or YouTube them)… so you don’t need to know the songs off the top of your head, but you do need to know simple math. I hope you have fun with it and BYOP! NOTE: FTF PLEASE TAKE FTF GEOCOIN PRIZE TAPED TO LID!

[Other caches in this series are Lovebirds, GC49F3F, and Thunderbirds, GC4AKNF] I came here recently to find a cache and noticed there were no others in this reservoir area. So I filled it up with some caches so you can enjoy this lovely spot. Songbirds cache name is fitting because I saw quite a few pretty Bluebirds here… the species I don’t see too often. The songs below should be fairly familiar to you and if not, again, there is Google and YouTube to help.

Here ya go to get the cache coordinates:

1) Fill in the blanks with the correct word.

2) Count the letters in the words ONLY in the blanks that you figured out. [Example: “Bird____”. (good jazz tune, YouTube it!). Answer in blank is “land” that has 4 letters. Your answer = 4]

3) Total up all your answers.

4) To get AAA, add your final answer to 594.

5) To get BBB, subtract your final answer from 726.

6) The final coordinates are at N 41° 51.AAA W 72° 44.BBB

Paul McCartney and Wings “Blue____”

The Beatles “______bird”

Jimi Hendrix “Little _____”

Bobby Day “Rockin’ ______”

John Denver “The _____ and the Hawk”

Seals and Crofts “______bird”

Steve Miller “___ Like an Eagle”

Anne Murray “_____bird”

Tchykovsky “_____ Lake”

An oldie from 1926 “Bye Bye ________” (the song not the show)

Johnny Cash “Bird on a _______”

Bette Midler “Wind _______ My Wings”

Fleetwood Mac “_____bird”

An old folk song “Turkey in the _______”

And who can forget Lynyrd Skynyrd’s longest song “_____ Bird”

Good luck and happy caching!
