Located in the central part of Labrador, the town is the largest population centre in that region. Incorporated in 1973, the town comprises the former town of Happy Valley and the Local Improvement District of Goose Bay. If you do not wish to park on the shoulder, there is a waypoint to turn off the road. Careful, the access is not marked. You can park near the cache. There is a picnic table and garbage can if you wish to take a break. This parking is not available during winter.
