The cache is placed in memory of a dearly departed grandad. It is located at a peaceful seashore spot near his birthplace, Minna in Inverin, Connemara. Views of Clare, Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands are a feature of this scenic seaside area. It was originally a small box placed under the wheel arch of a vintage bus which served as a holiday home at a nearby beach for many years. This local landmark (long since abandoned and which was getting a bit weather beaten) has been towed away along with the original container . The new parking location (replaced again after recent storms) is located at the end of the road leading to the bay, turning left just after the thatched house on the left hand side of the road as you drive West out from the Spiddal /Galway direction (see waypoint) . The road is in reasonable condition with low grass growing in the centre. Please drive slowly and carefully and take care when approaching the rocky inlet at the end of the road. Alternatively, the next turn on the left opposite the little church heading West from here has been recently resurfaced and a short stony walk from the end of that road will get you to GZ. There is a waypoint for the correct approach road to the parking place and cache access, Congrats to Blue Jay on the FTF at the original location!
