There about a dozen caches on the I-275 Bike Trail between the northern end and Eight Mile Road. There is space for two or three dozen more. This is one of a set of three north of Eight Mile start the fill-in from that end. Since I am not sure what order I will place them in I am naming some of them after bicycle manufacturers. This cache is named after Alldays & Onions. This English engineering and manufacturing company was formed in 1889 by the merger of Onions (founded in 1650) and William Allday & Co. (founded in 1720.) In addition to making bicycles they also manufactured motorcycles, automobiles and tractors.
This is intended to be a Ride & Grab cache, but maybe only if you read the hint. The cache container is a small camo painted bison tube. You will need a log extractor. Please bring your own pencil or pen.
I have found that a quick and simple log extraction tool can be made from a small paperclip. Straighten one end out. Grab just a small portion (maybe 1/32 of an inch or 1 millimeter) with a long-nose or needle-nose pliers then bend it at a right angle. I have attached one to the cache you can use. Please leave it for the next person.
