Don't Bug Our Little Angel Traditional Cache

This is a C&D placed in our late daughter’s cemetery, near her headstone, in honor of her life.
This is our first personal cache placed as a family and is a fairly easy find.
On February 27th 2003, our daughter, Alexis Noel Richard, was born.
Having been diagnosed with spinabifada while still in the womb, she developed hydrocephalous, which in turn caused more complications. In the seven months that she was with us, she went through numerous surgeries to repair her spine and relieve the pressure on her brain. She also received a tracheotomy and had a feeding tube inserted. With all this, Alexis was truly a happy baby and smiled often.
She spent six of her living months in hospitals. Most of that time spent was at the Lehigh Valley Hospital but she also spent a month at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In August of 2003, it was decided that since no more could be done for her at the hospital, she should come home to be with us.
We had her room made up with extra outlets and storage units that could support all of her machines and medical supplies. We also received 24 hour nursing care for her.
On September 19th of 2003, Alexis passed away and we miss her dearly.
Even though we only had her in our lives for seven months, she brought us great joy and lessons to be learned. Our boys wanted to place a cache in honor of their little sister so this was placed, not in mourning but in celebration of her everlasting life. It is near her final resting place and you will find her headstone just a few paces away if you would like visit our little angel.
As this is in a cemetery, please remember that this is a dawn to dusk only cache and please be respectful. Also, please replace as found and don’t forget to close the door before you leave.
