Come out and show off your GeoAttire. We will meet at Escalantes Mexican restaurant, in the front bar seating area to the right, from 11:15 a.m.-ish to 12:30 p.m. or so. If you have never attended an event, we would love to meet you. All first time event attendees and anyone I have never met before will receive my signature coin.
GeoCasual Friday is a concept that I'm hoping will catch on in the world of geocaching. If the initial growth of the facebook group/monthy event of the same name is any indication, it just might.
The concept is easy... Just wear your geocaching attire/accessories to work/school/out on the town on any Friday. Official GeoCasual Fridays are the first friday of each month.
I'm hoping that stories will start to roll in about folks discovering geocaching because of this day and of geocachers crossing paths by coincidence because we can easily identify each other's geogear.
I'm going to try to have this GCF event at least quarterly, if not every month. This is the same venue as my A.'O.M. events. I've lost track of how many events I've held here, but it's a lot. The food and service is always good here.
This is very convenient to my place of business and I can make this more regular if we have a good turnout and folks want it to be regular. However, I will not post one that competes with the 3.G event in the Galleria. I like to go to that one when I can.
