Geocache Description:

Congratulations to merann on the First to Find

This cache is number twenty nine in a series of caches. The plan is to put out a range of difficulty and terrain caches, as well as cache types, local to the Eglinton and surrounding areas (for my ease of maintenance). The first digit of these caches will also start with all the letters and numbers for anyone trying to complete their Alphanumeric challenge.

Please remember to note down the letter printed on the top of the log sheet.


Welcome to the River Faughan

The above co-ords will take you to a place to park off the main road.

Under no circumstances should you try and cross the carridgeway.You want to be on the west bank of the river (city side). If you park at the Westbound co-ords cross the river using the footpath, if you park at the Eastbound co-ords your on the correct side of the river. Whichever parking you choose walk up to the bridge and you will see a pathway down to the riverbank, from here there is an underpass under the carridgeway which will take you where you want to go.

Livestock does graze along the river, but they are very used to the anglers so pose no real threat.

Due to the proximity of the river please keep geokids on a short lease, and on that subject, due to the possibility of bumping into livestock, please keep dogs under control at all times.

Please be respectful if there are anglers, it is their hobby, its not their fault they haven't discovered a better pass-time such as geocaching.


The Cache

It’s a 30ml sample container wrapped in tape, well hidden. Please replace exactly as and where you find it.

A bonus cache will then be available by solving an anagram with all the collected letters from each of the previous 36 caches.


REMEMBER TO JOT DOWN AND KEEP THE LETTER PRINTED ON THE TOP OF THE LOG SHEET. Happy hunting.
