Geocache Description:

Congrats to mudwhore and randy-lewis for the FTF!

Welcome to “Benny”s Travel Bug Hotel. Headed down the GPS to Atlantic City? Going back home to NY after a weekend at the Jersey Shore? Traveling East from Philly to the ocean? Well then you’re probably a Benny or perhaps a Shoobie. Why not stop by and drop a trackable or two?

Benny is a term used by year-round residents of the Jersey Shore to describe rude, flashy, loud, tourists from North Jersey and New York. Since local residents appreciate the tourists' economic contribution, the term "Benny" sometimes refers to only those unpleasant tourists that cut lines, drive recklessly, start fights, harass women, or deliver other disrespect. Benny is actually an acronym for the tourists from Bayonne, Elizabeth, Newark, and New York - and areas around them.

The term Shoobie is used by residents of resort communities in the southern New Jersey Shore, from Long Beach Island to Cape May. The term shoobie was originally used to describe day-trippers who took the train to the shore. The train offered pre-packed lunches that came in shoe boxes; hence the term "shoobie." However, over time the meaning has changed to include tourists that wear sneakers or shoes on the beach, as opposed to most locals who go barefoot on the sand.

Located just off Lacey Road and the Garden State Parkway(may have to pay a toll depending on which way you come). Pull off Lacey Road just West of the GPS ramp on the Southbound side. There is a dirt road. You can pull on the road but know you cachemobile limits. You can also park on the other side of Lacey Road and walk down the dirt road about 150 feet to a fire trail where GZ is.

You are looking for a large 5-gallon bucket the has camo. It has a screw on lid, push the tab and twist it off. Please screw the lid back on tightly so the stuff inside does not get wet. It's pretty big so it can hold a butt load oftravel bugs, geocoins, cannolis, or some other huge swag that you won on the Boardwalk in Seaside Heights, just don’t forget my life is your vacation and BENNYS GO HOME!
